Artwork made the old fashioned way!
Since I feel kind of responsible for about ten or so
graphic artists getting laid-off in the early nineties (I
helped an art department go to all Macintosh and Linotype)
I feel a little obligation to continue working in the good
old fashioned non-digital media.
I worked for a decade in the graphic arts and pre-press
fields, and most of it was spent in the digital arena. I'd
spend my days either producing digital artwork in Illustrator
or Freehand or (especially later) I'd be doing systems work
on the equipment that ran the department.
When I got home from work the last thing I wanted to do was
draw on the computer.
I've got decades of work to show people, but even in creating
this web site I've had to work very hard against my feelings of
hostility towards the computer as a creative tool.
I know it is one- and a powerful one. It's just one that I
have to warm up to.
